The International Underwriting Study Group is a not-for-profit and free study group that gathers and encourages the community of international life insurance underwriters engaged in the selection of risks who reside outside of the United States to interact, join efforts, and actively participate in the innovation of international risk selection practices. We want to be a strategic partner to the international underwriter by contributing to the further development and advancement of the international underwriting discipline, by building, renewing and strengthening the inter-company business relationships, with integrity, excellence, responsibility and teamwork.
Study group attendance is by invitation from the IUSG, which does welcome requests for an invitation by underwriting professionals who meet our criteria for participation. Our annual meeting is on the Sunday at the beginning of the annual conference of the Association Of Home Office Underwriters. Attendance at the session is gratis. The half-day session is a discussion group that covers topics of interest selected by the attendees, most of whom stay for the AHOU conference that follows (AHOU conference fees apply to that event, which requires its own registration.)
If you are a risk selection professional in life insurance sold outside the United States and wish to be considered for an invitation to attend the IUSG , you may write our Executive Director, Rafael R. Shabetai, at intluwstudygrp@gmail.com
